Regional Rail Working Group
A Consortium of Transit Advocacy Organizations

Next Monthly Meeting:
Wednesday, July 28, 2010, 6 to 8 PM
Please note new location for this meeting:
New York Metropolitan Council
199 Water Street, 22nd Floor, at Fulton Street
in Lower Manhattan

Please RSVP if you think you may be able to attend so that we can leave your name at the security desk.

NYMTC was very kind to make this space available after the Downtown Alliance BID had to give up its space at 104 Washington Street. We certainly greatly appreciated use of their space for over eight years..

The discussion will focus on RRWG efforts to advance the Moynihan/Penn Station First alternative for the new ARC Hudson River passenger rail tunnels.

Also, Gerry Bogacz, NYMTC's planning director will be available to discuss transportation issues of interest to the RRWG.

Time permitting, there will be progress reports on other RRWG initiatives:

  • Moving forward on the Penn Station Metro-Hub plan
  • Upper Level Loop Alternative for LIRR East Side Access
  • Restoring Rockaway Cutoff for one-seat ride to JFK Airport
  • Lower Manhattan Access
  • Regional Rail Freight and Intercity rail passenger issues

If you cannot make these meetings, please send us your comments!
Save the dates for future RRWG meetings (fourth Wednesday of each month).

Hope to see you then!
